Founded in 1990, Bruchou Fernandez Madero & Lombardi is a large full-service practice with over 100 lawyers and a well-reputed IP group. Since December 2007 the firm has worked with IP boutique Berken IP, also ranked, in the patent field. It offers IP services in the acquisition, protection, enforcement and commercial exploitation of IP in Argentina and other countries.
Clients include Televisa, CNN, Facebook and Banco de la Provincia de Córdoba. Bruchou also recently acquired the portfolio of the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (IBTA), a university which produces many innovative projects. The firm has done drafting and negotiation of complex software development, licensing, technical assistance and software and IT implementation for Banco de Córdoba, T-Systems, Deutsche Telekom's business unit in Argentina and Musa Capital Advisors. It is one of the founding members of the alliance of Ibero-American legal firms AFFINITAS.
In 2010, the firm did complex due diligence work, analysis of patent and plant varieties and software licences and technological platforms for Makhteshim Agan Industries. It also undertook complex due diligence work on open source tools, software and licences and negotiated IP clauses of stock purchase agreements for Myriad International.
