This year, The IP agency Petosevic has moved into the second tier of the trade mark prosecution table. Its Romanian office is in Bucharest and is led by Aura Campeanu. It has 11 offices in the region including places like Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Ukraine. Additionally, the firm has 18 other affiliated offices throughout Eastern Europe and CIS. In all, it has 25 lawyers and 13 trade mark and patent attorneys. In Romania the firm only has three fee-earners but it is supported by a strong network and attracts some notable clients. "Petosevic is a recent firm that started as a division of the Belgian firm," one peer says. "It deals mainly with trade marks and has employed some patent specialists. But it deals with important cases and represents DuPont."
The firm acted for Hasbro and its affiliates last year in respect to alleged infringement of the trade marks and designs of Beyblade products that were distributed by the client. Additionally, the firm was involved in trade mark infringement cases on behalf of Inditex.
