The IP department of general practice firm Von Wobeser & Sierra has been growing steadily over the past two years despite the world economic crisis. The IP practice covers all areas of patents, trade marks and copyrights. At present, it is expanding its services in the domain names field and represents industry leaders including Procter & Gamble, Burger King, Tequila Don Julio and Harvard College.
The firm was founded in 1986 and is composed of over 45 lawyers. Name partner Claus Von Wobeser is a former president of the Mexican bar. One competitor said: "He's an outstanding lawyer and a very decent guy." The firm does pro-bono work such as helping Mas Medicina y Asistencia Social, a non-profit organisation which provides medical and social care to deprived communities, protect its logos.
