Seligsohn & Gabrieli is one of Israel's oldest firms, a boutique IP firm that was one of the first to bring litigation and prosecution under one roof. The firm has an especially strong reputation for copyright work where, among its clients, it represents Acum: the non-profit Israel Copyright Society that manages the copyrights of its member artists and authors. One of its key prosecution clients is General Electric. The firm covers patents, designs and plant breeders' rights as well as trade marks and passing off. "We were very satisfied with its service, professionalism, hard work, understanding of the client's needs and attitude," says one client. Patent expert and founding partner Arnan Gabrieli is praised by a client for being "truly one of a kind, very precise, professional and brilliant". The client adds: "He managed to grasp all scientific details in our complex and difficult subject. He has a unique gift of putting everything 'on the paper' in accuracy and essentiality. He is a great performer in court, and he has much patience and understanding to his clients and their needs." Among its highlights of 2010, partner Nahum Gabrieli advised on two oppositions for IMI (Israeli Military Industries); Arnan and Nahum represented Pliant (inventor of a colonoscopy testing method) in a trade secrets law suit against Stryker in the Tel-Aviv District Court; and Nahum acted for Safecom in a copyright infringement case. Ehud Gabrieli successfully acted for New Balance Athletic Shoes in a trade mark infringement case. Other clients include the Gucci Group.
