The IP team of full-service firm Guangda Law Firm is often called upon to resolve disputes and invalidation proceedings. The five-member department, led by Yang Jiamu, defended a composite material maker from Xinjiang Autonomous Region in a patent litigation brought up by a company which manufactures glass fibre reinforced plastics. The team launched a patent invalidation procedure that went to the Beijing Higher People's Court. The firm didn't completely overturn the patent, but restricted it, which helped the defence. With 250 members across all departments, the firm is one of the largest in Guangdong province and has offices in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen.
