Clients turn to Yogo Patent & Trademark Agency for its "solid understanding of patent and trade mark work," says one client. "The advice provided suits our needs. They know about every facet of patent and trade mark work", said another, who has been working with the firm over the past decade.

Yogo is one of the top patent and trade mark filers in Guangdong province and has developed from being an institution that used to file patents for universities in the region. In a long-lasting legal battle, Avery Dennison, a maker of pressure-sensitive and self-adhesive materials from the US, instructed the firm in a trade secret and patent infringement case launched by a rival company from Taiwan. The claimant challenged the court's jurisdiction over the patent right on the grounds that the sale of infringing products did not occur in Zhejiang province, where the court sits. The Supreme People's Court ruled that Article 10 of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law does not apply to the conduct of sale of products that contain the unauthorised use of trade secrets. The case was sent back to Zhejiang Higher People's Court.

In a trade mark dispute, the firm won a case for Nokia, which sued a local company in Guangzhou for attaching the mark Nokea on the face of its batteries. In November 2010, managing director Lin Dewei and general manager Chen Wei led the team that assisted leading domestic electronic appliances maker Midea against a competitor who manufactures a soy milk machine that closely resembles the claimant's products.
