Up-and-coming law firm Rahmat Lim & Partners is starting to make an impression on Malaysia's legal scene. The firm has already conducted some of the biggest transactions in Malaysia since its establishment in 2008.
The firm's IP practice is headed by Pauline Khor, who has over 15 years of IP experience. She is joined by partner Ong Boo Seng who joined in March 2012. The practice offers a full range of contentious and non-contentious IP-related matters.
Rahmat Lim & Partners represented The Thai Silk Company in a passing-off action against local hotelier Strawberry Park Resort, which was using its Jim Thompson trade mark. The firm also assisted Pfizer in a patent invalidation action filed against it by Ranbaxy Malaysia, one of many overseas cases against Pfizer's blockbuster anti-impotence drug Viagra.
