D Young & Co is a leader in the UK prosecution market. Based in London and Southampton, the firm boasts 47 attorneys and its electronics team is credited with being Sony's preferred provider of patent services in Europe. Biotechnology partners Charles Harding, Catherine Mallalieu and Louise Holliday received this praise from a client: "They are clearly in the premier league of patent attorneys covering biotech in the UK." Notable work for 2009 included successful trade mark oppositions for PepsiCo and Duracell Batteries, EPO revocation of a Merck divisional on behalf of Teva, and gaining Oracle and Jamie Oliver Limited as clients. The partnership was boosted last year by four internal promotions.

Frank B Dehn & Co rebranded to Dehns at the start of 2010. The well-regarded attorney practice maintains offices in London, Brighton and Oxford and retains its tier 1 and tier 2 rankings in the patent and trade mark tables respectively. Some notable trends at the firm include a growing Norwegian client base and a steady flow of instructions from leading universities including Oxford University, Imperial College and Oslo University. Engineering partner Philip Jeffrey was singled out by a client for his "methodical and thorough approach". The client added: "He is always very proactive on our behalf."
