Ankara Patent Bureau continues to dominate the market as a leader in the IP field and is recognised by peers as a firm that represents some of the biggest holding companies in patent prosecution. The client requested cancellation of the Re-examination and Evaluation Board decision that rejected the uludag zero trade mark on the grounds that it was confusingly similar to the Coca-Cola Zero trade mark. A further example of work the firm has been involved in relates to advising AKEMI Chemisch Technisch Spezialfabrik in a trade mark infringement case against Alchemy Mermer Kimyasallari San. The client sought to stop unfair use of the word Alchemy on the grounds that it is not only similar to its own trade mark Akemi but in the same colours and relating to the same sector.
