Levant & Partners is split 70/30 between IP lawyers and attorneys. The firm is part of ADVOC, the international association of independent law firms, and has over the past year been marketing itself to foreign clients. Its strong suit on the patent side is filing nanotechnology, physics and chemistry patents and advising start-ups in IT. Russian and Eurasian patent attorney Larisa Yatrova is head of the IP team and an expert in mechanics, electro-mechanics and technology transfer. Other key individuals include patent specialist Ekaterina Momot and trade mark attorney Natalia Vasilieva. In 2010 the firm grew with six new hires and kept busy working with the Russian state corporation on high-tech matters. In one highlight deal, it advised FIFA on ambush marketing in relation to a beer company. The firm also filed a number of patent applications across various sectors.
