Editorial coverage

Poland

Another one of Poland's one-stop IP firms is Kulikowska & Kulikowski, which represents some of Europe's household brands such as Procter & Gamble, Kraft and Danone. Although the firm lost two junior associates in Agnieszka Matuisk and Tomasz Zakrewski this year, it did hire Joanna Szota as junior associate in March 2010.

The firm represented Peek & Cloppenburg in a litigation case against Austrian company Van Graff, which was allegedly infringing the Polish company's trade marks by having Polish language versions on its Austrian websites. The case, led by duo Jaroslaw Kulikowski and Pawel Kulikowski, would be set a precedent in Polish case law for the internet. In patent litigation, the firm advised Teva Pharmaceuticals regarding the infringement of a patent which also set a precedent in the market.
