Adi Levit moves up a tier in patent contentious following a series of strong recommendations by competitors and a strong year representing his main client, generic company Unipharma. "He should be at the top because he won everything for Unipharma and Unipharma is the biggest client for generics after Teva; it is a very pro-active client," says a leading IP lawyer. "He is much more prominent in patent litigation recently with two major clients: a pharmaceutical company and big electronics company; he acts in a number of patent cases and he is doing much more significant patent litigation work than others and he is better in capabilities and skills," says another competitor. In 2010 Levit, formerly of Seligsohn Gabrieli, represented Unipharma against GlaxoSmithKline over the diabetes drug Avandia. Earlier court cases resulted in split decisions, supporting aspects of both Unipharma and GSK's cases. Both companies are now appealing against the unfavourable aspects of the decisions.
