Practitioner Kin Wah Chow is also tapped for his trade mark expertise in various cases, most recently representing smartphone manufacturer HTC in a well-known trade mark dispute against alleged Indonesian pirates. The team acted for US manufacturer Nashua in Agustinus Tong v Nashua Corporation, in which a former employee-turned-trade mark pirate sought to delete Nashua's trade mark for non-use. This Supreme Court case was among the first to reach a decision in a deletion proceeding on apparent bad faith. Other clients of the firm include an Indonesian packaging subsidiary of British American Tobacco, Umbro, Google, Starbucks and GlaxoSmithKline.
