The firm represented clients I-MAK, Cipla and Okasa in an opposition against the patent application from Abbott Laboratories relating to the product Kaletra. In December 2010, the controller decided to reject the application for lack of inventive step.
Another matter for Cipla was an opposition against the patent application for tenofovir topical formulation from Gilead. This pre-grant opposition was successful on the grounds of lack of inventive step and obviousness in June 2010.
