Backström & Co moves up to the top tier for contentious patent work. The firm is purely focused on IP litigation. Although it is slightly smaller than some of its rivals its quality places it squarely in tier one. "They are very strong, we have seen them on a couple of patent cases last year and really they know what they are doing", says a competitor. In 2010 the firm was involved in the Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals case over the drug atorvastatin and the Hexal and Sandoz case regarding the patent for omeprazole.
