Budde Schou moves up a tier this year in patent prosecution after a number of recommendations. The reason for good feedback, says one IP lawyer, may be that the firm has "succeeded in its generational shift on the patent side and Steen Wadskov-Hansen, the new head, is very good; he has been able to attract young people and they are on the right track". The firm has offices in Denmark and Sweden and is especially active in pharmaceutical work. In 2010, Wadskov-Hansen and team continued to act as coordinators for IP litigation for Johnson & Johnson / Janssen Cilag and generic companies Mylan, Ratiopharm and Arrow in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The firm recently advised the latter three on matters including the medical patch Fentanyl and the osteoporosis drug Alendronate in proceedings before the EPO. The firm added new client KRKA in 2010, which turned to Wadskov-Hansen in preliminary injunction proceedings for the drug Esomeprazole.
