Li Yanlin and Jiang represented YKK, one of the world's largest zipper manufacturers, in a patent infringement case. The firm took on the case after it reached its second appeal, after the Patent Re-examination Board and court of first instance ruled YKK's patent was invalid due to lack of inventiveness. The Beijing High People's Court accepted LexField's argument that YKK's patent for zipper manufacturing equipment did not lack inventiveness and overturned the previous decisions. The outcome helped affirm the client's predominant position in the market.
