Since establishing its headquarters in Santiago in 1991, Albagli Zaliasnik Abogados has been making a name for itself as a "very reputable" full service firm with a vigorous IP department. One rival described Albagli as his team's "nemesis", adding: "They are good litigators, they are tough litigators. They know the business."

In August 2010, the firm scored a victory on behalf of Wal-Mart, which recently acquired a major supermarket chain in Chile and filed a trade mark application for the words Save Money. Live Better. From a legal perspective it was difficult to overcome objections that the phrase was structured as a grammatically complex sentence and should therefore be considered a slogan rather than a mark. However, despite initially rejecting the application, the Chilean Trademark Office eventually accepted it.

The firm has been expanding its international client base in recent years and now represents companies such as Hasbro, Oakley, Harley-Davidson and Ugg, along with various Chilean laboratories. It is committed to pro-bono work and has been a member of Fundación Pro Bono since its foundation in Chile in 2000. Albagli is also involved with Fundación Ciudadano Inteligente, an organisation which promotes political accountability and citizen participation in Chilean society through new technology.
