Led by CEO Herman de Haan, Nederlandsch Octrooibureau is proficient in biotechnology, food and computer implemented inventions. The firm's main office is close to the EPO branch and the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property and this makes it easier to attend hearings. In May 2012, the firm hired Wendy Dekker-Garms as associate partner from Octrooibureau Griebling.

Moreover, the firm acted for Spotify before the court of The Hague in defence against an infringement claim by PacketVideo.
