Jordan

Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) is difficult to ignore. With over 70 offices worldwide and over 2000 staff, the firm's reach has been increased by its involvement with international organisations, including WIPO, The Arab society for Intellectual Property and The Institute of Trademark Attorneys. AGIP has a strong presence in Jordan, backed up by an impressive client list.

AGIP is most praised by its clients for its efficiency, approach and turnover time. While competitors commend the firm on its quality of work and international scope: "AGIP is the leading firm in Jordan, but not only do they have an excellent practice in this region, they are great on a global scale as well." Another lawyer adds: "While they are the biggest in terms of size, they also have some brilliant clients on an international and regional basis."

Meanwhile, the firm has remained busy with patent drafting work, IP consulting, copyright work and trade mark filing. One highlight for the year was work to improve the infrastructure of IP in the Middle East, working closely with Arab governments to revise and draft new laws and regulations for the enforcement of IP rights in several nations, including Oman and Bahrain.
