Boehmert & Boehmert has marked itself as a successful mixed practice law firm, operating across sectors including natural sciences, engineering sciences and computer and software technology. The firm is active in patent, trade mark and copyright and has maintained its position in all three tables. The practice provides clients with advice in areas including TV, film and entertainment, and telecommunication. In copyright law, one of the firm's highlights for 2009 included extending an existing mandate for Hollywood film producers. IT law has also been an active area of work for Boehmert & Boehmert, as the firm represented a leading software producer in relation to copyright issues. In August 2009, the practice expanded its operation with the hire of two partners. Klaus Dieter Langfinger, who specialises in chemistry, polymers and biosciences, was appointed as partner at the firm's Frankfurt office.
