Panawell & Partners has built a name for itself in IP litigation and the firm features in quite a number of court proceedings every year. For instance, partner George Guo is defending HySci Company against a patent infringement case filed by Rhodia Chimie before the Supreme Court. The firm was also involved in a case between two Chinese pharmaceutical companies in which it led the defence for Beijing Holley-Cotec Pharmaceuticals against the patent infringement claim initiated by Chongqing Jianqiao Pharmaceutical Development, and to respond to the attack by invalidating Chongqing Jianqiao's patent.
