The IP and IT practice at Burness is led by partner David Goodbrand. The six-person team includes partner Colin Hulme, who also acts as the head of the firm's dispute resolution unit. Hulme is an accredited IP specialist by the Law Society of Scotland. In the past year the firm has increased its presence among international clients, and is looking to take advantage of the full breadth of its IT capability to continue growing. With offices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, the firm is in the thick of the work as it advises trade mark clients such as Celtic Football Club, Glasgow Rangers, the Scottish Football Association and the Scottish Rugby Union.
