Under the leadership of head of IP Simon Clark, the firm provides advice for notable clients such as Expedia, Marriott Hotels, and TGI Friday's. A Clark-led team is representing the Newspaper Licensing Agency in a licensing matter that is pending. The case involves issues relating to two new web licences operated by the client. The reasonableness of these licences has been challenged by one of the largest media monitoring organisations, Meltwater Holdings. With the case to be heard in early 2011, this has been touted by a peer as "one of the most important copyright decisions of the year".
