The firm enjoyed an active year and took part in several notable trade mark matters, both on the prosecution and contentious sides. In one highlight, managing partner Jayavadh Bunnag and his team advised WL Gore & Associates, a US medical device manufacturing company, in three cancellation actions against the Trademark Board. In a pending matter, Ratinuch Kawnachaimongkol and Ratchapong Tongdeetae are helping WD-40, a US lubricating oils manufacturing company, with a trade mark infringement case in Thailand.
In late 2009, Thai A-Tech Solution enlisted Kawnachaimongkol and Tongdeetae on negotiations with Business Software Alliance to settle a copyright infringement conflict. Other clients that turn to the firm for IP work include Omnicom International Holdings, dental devices group Nobel Biocare, data storage products manufacturer Quantum Corporation, and Japanese video game developer Namco Bandai Games.
