Walder Wyss & Partners enters the patent prosecution table for the first time this year having impressed on its quality and expertise during a patent infringement suit before the Zurich Commercial court. Client Catherin Murray from Alcon Laboratories remarks that with the new increase in trade mark oppositions in Switzerland, the firm has been of a very high quality. "I just think he's [Markus Frick] the smartest whip," she says. "On some oppositions, we all think there's no way we'll win and somehow he pulls through." Frick advised a Swiss life sciences company in a successful defence during a preliminary injunction in a cross-border litigation case. The firm has also represented other global brands including Zurich Insurance Company, Microsoft and Media Markt.
