Partner and head of patents, Low Pei Lin is a member of the Patent Examination Committee of IPOS Patent Agent Qualifying Examinations, and is involved in setting and marking of examination papers. At Allen & Gledhill she heads a team of five patent professionals overseeing the drafting and prosecuting of patents in Singapore and abroad. Low also handles the IP portfolios for Ericsson, Herbalife, Hitachi, Mattel, Research In Motion, Sharp and Turner Broadcasting.
Lai and partner Vignesh Vaerhn successfully represented Martek in overturning a patent invalidity finding by the Patent Registry. This is only the second time Patent Registry invalidation has been overturned on appeal at the High Court.
