On behalf of Whirlpool, the firm obtained a $1.8 million jury verdict in the District of Delaware following a seven-day trial in a dispute with LG regarding one of Whirlpool's patents. LG had originally sued Whirlpool for false advertising and patent infringement of four of its patents, which then prompted Whirlpool to countersue with its own patent infringement claim. While LG was unsuccessful in asserting all of its four patents, Whirlpool succeeded in proving LG had infringed its patent relating to in-door ice storage systems.
