CMS Cameron McKenna has continued to grow in the Czech Republic over the past year. Led by Tomas Matejovsky, the department hired four associates, taking the total IP group to seven. It has gained several large western clients, partly due to the extent of the CMS network but also, according to Matejovsky, to "the recent high level of understanding that international law firms have brought to intellectual property in the Czech Republic".
The firm has dealt with a mix of trade mark and patent work in the past year, as well as advising on several cases involving international domain names.
