World IP Survey Coverage: Print-friendly version

Editorial coverage

Switzerland

Niederer Kraft & Frey enters the rankings for the first time this year having impressed the market with its range of clients. The firm represented major brands such as Procter & Gamble and Japan Tobacco International (JTI) last year. Led by Thomas Frick, the IP department advised the former on its IP portfolio in Switzerland involving the trade marks of Ariel, Gillette and Max Factor among others. One client says: "We found both Frick and Nicolas Birkhäuser very effective, with solid knowledge and advice on Swiss matters." The firm was also praised for its specific knowledge on trade mark and patent exhaustion on products imported to Switzerland. Frick also advised the news corporation Thomson Reuters on its IP portfolio as well as Fifa and Singapore Airlines.
