Horten is led by head of practice Jens Jakob Bugge (who covers trade marks and patents), two life science partners Anders Valentin and Ole Damsbo, media partner Nina Henningsen and marketing partner Susie Stærk Ekstrand. Clients advised in 2010 include Coloplast, Haribo, Novozymes, Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, Sandoz, Médecins sans Frontières, Coca-Cola Nordic and Chiquita. Key cases saw Valenin advise Teva before the High Court in a dispute relating to a patent for a generic version of Escitalopram and for Sandoz over its generic version of esomeprazole. In copyright, Henningsen was busy advising broadcasting and media companies on online content distribution. Through 2010 Bugge advised Orifarm, the second biggest parallel importer of pharmaceuticals, on two pending trade mark Surpeme Court cases against Merck, which will reach the CJ, and won a victory for Tivoli (erotic movies and TV broadcasting) over copyright before the Supreme Court. The firm also defended rights on leading brands for La Cafetière and Deere & Co.
