Pinterest, an online notice board that has faced criticism over the way its users use copyright images, has hired former Google lawyer Michael Yang as its general counsel.
Yang was deputy general counsel at the search engine and headed up the 200-person legal team that looks after product compliance (IP and privacy) and commercial work. He worked at Google for seven years and previously worked for the California State Senate and a congressional committee in Washington DC.
